SKMF, The Swedish Mapping And Surveying Association

The association was formed in 1953 in Norrköping. Initially, it was only open for surveying technicians employed in municipal surveying and cadastral offices.

Today, the association welcomes everyone involved in and interested in all types of mapping and surveying technical issues, and the growing field of geographic information technology.
SKMF currently has nearly 1500 members spread all over Sweden in the public, municipal and private sectors.
SKMF is an independent association  for those who are interested in geodetic measurements, maps, GIS, real property, etc.

Organization

The association is managed by a board, the members of which are all elected at the annual meeting. The chairman is also elected at the annual meeting. The members of the board are fill the roles of editors for our magazine, the webmaster, responsible for advertising etc.
